Roles & Responsibilities of CHO

- Comprehensive Primary Care: Health & Wellness Centres में 12 service packages (जैसे maternal & child health, communicable & non-communicable diseases management, geriatric care, palliative care आदि) प्रदान करना।
- Screening & Early Detection: Hypertension, diabetes, oral cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer जैसे NCDs की screening करना और early diagnosis में सहयोग।
- Treatment & Medication: Common ailments के लिए prescribed protocols के अनुसार medicines dispensing और basic treatment।
- ANC/PNC Services: Pregnant women का regular check-up, high-risk pregnancy identification और referral, postnatal care।
- Immunization & Family Planning: Routine immunization drives conduct करना, family planning counselling और contraceptive services।

- B.Sc. Nursing with Bridge Course in Community Health & Nursing (BPCCHN) OR
- General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) with minimum 3 years of nursing experience OR
- Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing OR
- B.Sc. Nursing (4-year course)
- Valid registration with West Bengal Nursing Council mandatory।

- BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery) degree from recognized university।
- Valid registration with West Bengal Council of Ayurveda / State Medical Faculty of Ayurveda।
Training & Capacity Building
Selected CHOs को joining के बाद comprehensive training programme से गुजरना होगा जिसमें शामिल हैं –[web:39]
- CHO Induction Training (3-4 weeks residential training at designated training centers)
- Clinical protocols, NCD screening guidelines, AB-HWC service packages की detailed training
- Hands-on practice sessions – BP measurement, blood glucose testing, ECG, BMI calculation आदि
- Software training – HMIS data entry, telemedicine, e-Sanjeevani OPD
- Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions और periodic refresher trainings
